We are looking for a full time Emergency Services Liaison to join our team.

 

The Emergency Service (ES) Liaison works as part of the Emergency & Critical Care team to optimize the client and patient experience in the Emergency Service. This is accomplished through excellent and proactive communications, efficient and accurate practices, and by providing a simple, efficient and authentically compassionate experience for the client and the referring veterinarian.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Functioning as a key contact person for clients through their interactions with the Emergency Service.

  • Serving as a communication conduit, sharing information with members of the team to help ensure that the needs of the client, patient and others are met.

  • Working with the doctors to generate and present medical plans/estimates to clients, establishing value for services.

  • Working with clients regarding financial arrangements.

  • Facilitating the patient admission and discharge processes with related forms, protocols and communications.

  • Assisting the doctors with respect to efficiency, and ensures they are informed regarding any issues or client needs.

  • Managing the service email and voicemail according to service guidelines, addressing or redirecting appropriately.

  • Troubleshooting to resolve client concerns or escalates them in a timely manner.

  • Modeling and delivering an exceptional client experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

ARE WITHIN A NORMAL VETERINARY HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

INCLUDE:

•  Must be able to access and navigate within the hospital

   facility
•  Working on a computer; some bending, stooping, stretching

    and light lifting

•  Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

    sufficient to operate a computer, telephone, and other

    office equipment as needed
•  Eyesight and hearing sufficient to fulfill job requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree, or equivalent

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a service-oriented environment, preferably in veterinary or human medicine, or in retail

Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of written English

  • Basic computer literacy; experience with practice management software is preferred

  • A passion for client satisfaction

  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, referring veterinarians, doctors, staff and leadership

  • Bilingual/multilingual abilities preferred but not required

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Effective multi-tasking

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude

  • Comfort working in close proximity with animals, including large dogs

  • A dedication to lifelong learning and continuous improvement
