Exceptional Opportunity for an Exceptional Emergency Clinician
Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Clinician with proficiency in emergency surgery and an interest in high-level emergency medicine and collaboration within a multidisciplinary specialty hospital. This position offers a unique hybrid of private practice efficiency and academic engagement.

Emergency clinicians at CUVS are integral members of the medical team and play a meaningful role in clinical and organizational decision-making.
Our ECC service is well established and highly supported, consisting of five criticalists, five residents, six experienced emergency clinicians, and a large team of highly trained veterinary nurses (including VTSs). Emergency clinicians work closely with all specialty services, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Anesthesiology, and Dentistry. We emphasize evidence-based medicine, shared decision-making, and a patient-centered model of care.
Our state-of-the-art facility supports comprehensive diagnostics and therapeutics, including a dedicated ICU, mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal oxygen, an in-house blood bank, viscoelastic coagulation monitoring, 128-slice CT, endoscopy, and fluoroscopy. A large and diverse emergency caseload, combined with owners committed to high-level care, fosters strong clinical growth and development.
