Emergency, ICU and Service Veterinary Nurses are an integral part of the Nursing Team at our nationally renowned world-class institution. All of our veterinary nurses are credentialed and CPR certified. We have the resources to support individuals seeking to achieve specialty certification. We have developed a Nursing organizational structure with leadership positions, VTS mentorship, and trainings.

 

Compensation for this role is extremely competitive and commensurate with experience. As core members of the veterinary medical team, Assistants work closely with the technicians, doctors and other staff members to carry out the care of patients in the hospital wards and outpatient service areas. They are responsible for various aspects of patient care including restraint, laboratory packaging and shipping, and cleanliness. Assistants demonstrate excellent judgment and communication skills, maintain and promote CUVS core values and standards of care and uphold the culture of learning through training and professional enhancement of skills and knowledge.
