CLIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for a full-time enthusiastic Client Services Representative (CSR) to join our team.

 

The CSR is an integral part of the Client Services Team, responsible for providing the highest level of quality service to the clients, referring veterinarians and members of the CUVS team. As the first point of contact, the CSR will create a positive experience for every pet and pet parent who walks through our doors. From greeting clients with a smile and coordinating appointments and supporting our medical team, you will play a vital role in making sure each visit runs smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional client care in person and over the phone

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient check ins and checkouts

  • Process payments and maintain accurate records

  • Communicate clearly with clients and veterinary staff

  • Identify client issues and concerns, working within established policies, procedures and protocols to resolve them effectively or escalating to leadership when appropriate, serving as a steward for both client satisfaction and hospital standards

  • Take responsibility for the client experience, creating an empathetic, warm, friendly environment for every patient’s family

  • Support a compassionate, collaborative hospital culture

WORKING CONDITIONS

ARE WITHIN A NORMAL VETERINARY HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

INCLUDE:

•  Walking, standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling
•  Stress associated with patient illness, death, and compassion-

   fatigue

•  The hospital operates 24/7, a usual work schedule may

    include daytime and/or swing and/or evening shift hours

    including weekends and participation in a holiday rotation
 

What We're Looking For:

 

  • A friendly, professional communicator with a positive attitude

  • Detail oriented and organized in a fast-paced setting

  • Desire to learn about what we do and why

  • Passion for animals and delivering top notch service that reflects the quality of the Cornell University Veterinary Specialists medical care

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum high school graduation with some college coursework required

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience required

  • Veterinary experience strongly preferred; customer service experience also valued
